Room was clean and spacious, and the access to the freeway is a plus. Parking was limited, and breakfast was just honey buns and coffee.

I loved how easy it was to get to great spots like Huntington Beach and Newport Beach, both just a short drive away, plus there are cool places like The Reptile Zoo and the Orange County Museum of Art nearby within 3 km; with tewinkle park and fairview park just a little further, you can enjoy some nice strolls to soak in the local vibe. The hotel has a friendly staff and offers ample parking making it great for weekend trips, but the room could use some updates and a better cleaning.

Stay elsewhere. The customer service was lackluster at best. I requested a first-floor room due to accessibility needs, yet there were none. My final bill was misleading, with undisclosed fees driving it up. The room was dirty and uncomfortable; my family constantly washed their feet. No elevator access made matters worse. Staff was friendly, but that doesn't compensate for the state of the facilities. Parking was a nightmare after 6 PM, and amenities were severely lacking—no coffee maker, inadequate towels. It’s frustrating to say the least. I’ve lodged a complaint with corporate. Rely on other options for a quality experience.

The view from the balcony was a fun mix of sketchy characters doing their thing. The breakfast setup attempted to be creative with the weirdest options I've ever seen and the Wi-Fi was surprisingly fast.
Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness was not up to par.

I walked into my room and was hit with filth—hair everywhere, a dirty tub, and even stains on the walls. The bathroom was disgusting, and I found mold on the blankets. Worst experience ever; I couldn't wait to leave!

Shopping 'til we dropped, catching flicks at the cinema, and chomping down on delicious food , all within walking distance. Then, we hit up Knott's Berry Farm for some adrenaline, pumping fun , screams galore! It was an epic vacay with non, stop action.
Would have been even cooler if the hotel had a hip rooftop bar for us party animals to unwind and continue the fun after a wild day out.

King-size bed in the room, but that’s where the positives end. The maintenance was appalling; my key card didn’t work, leading to a frustrating 30-minute wait. The filthy conditions were shocking—think roaches, unclean walls, and a restroom that felt neglected. Stained towels and a breeding ground for allergens made it unbearable. While the staff was polite, they seemed overwhelmed and unhelpful. It's hard to ignore the underlying discomfort from feeling discriminated against. An unexpected charge added to the chaos. Not a place I’d recommend for a safe stay or a good night's sleep.

Walked into a pretty rough situation here. The vibes were off, and the place didn’t match the pics. There was blood on the ceiling and pee stains on the floor, plus mold too. Staff was unhelpful, And noisy guests kept us up all night. The room itself was decent, but the shower had no hot water.

Noise levels were high, with sounds from the freeway and neighboring guests easily penetrating the thin walls. The desk area was impractical, with a slanted surface and an uncomfortable chair that made working difficult. The bathroom was not well-kept, with remnants of previous guests. While the location was conveniently close to the freeway and parking was accessible, overall, the discomfort of the room severely impacted my experience.

I chose La Quinta for its proximity to the SOBECA District, and I was pleasantly surprised by the free shuttle service and helpful customer service agents. The free Bright Side Breakfast was a great way to start the day.

i was traveling with my children and they gave me a room all the way to the back of the property. there was a lot of people walking around throughout the whole night and the room was horrible extremely dirty and the tub wouldn't drain.

The hotel tried to charge my credit card before check-in, but I paid cash for the room and deposit. Unfortunately, they gave my cash deposit to someone else.

I had a mixed experience during my stay at a hotel in Costa Mesa for my business trip in Southern California. The location of the hotel was great, right in the middle of everything. The staff was mostly pleasant, except for one incident with a complaining housekeeper. The cleanliness of the room was satisfactory, and the sheets, shower curtain, and towels were clean. I appreciated that they allowed me to keep the same room after making a new reservation.
The staff could be a bit rude at times, and there was a lack of parking spaces available for all the rooms. I had to park quite far away, which was inconvenient.

the place was so clean, and the location was convenient - right in the parking lot. the staff was friendly and quick to fix the TV. the included breakfast was a winner - make your own waffles and hard boiled eggs!
Strongly recommend.
